​Perfused Organ Panel ​


​Our unique microphysiologial system platform, Perfused Organ Panel, accelerates the development of pharmaceutical, cosmetic, chemical, and precision medicine products.  Our exploratory platform is used during the preclinical stages of product development to quickly predict the effects a certain drug or a chemical will have on the human body. The platform is comprised of PerfusionPal integral insert system, the SeedEZ scaffolds, Blood Substitute which mimics the functions of hemoglobin in cell culture perfusion, and a pump set to deliver physiological, interstitial flow rates.

​In the human body, over 98% of oxygen is delivered to tissues by hemoglobin contained in red blood cells. By way of the Blood Substitute and the pump our microphysiological platform provides, for the first time, in vivo-like oxygen delivery to tissues cultured in vitro.

Perfused Organ Panel microphysiological system is a cutting edge research tool that allows cells to grow in an environment that mimics the human body. Its exclusive design enables continuous perfusion of up to 96 different cultures at one time.

SeedEZ

SeedEZ is a cell culture scaffold that enables cells to grow in three dimensions (3D) as in living tissues. It supports all cell types and extracellular matrices (ECMs) allowing for cell-cell and cell-ECM signaling for physiologically relevant functions in vitro.

Blood Substitute

Our proprietary synthetic hemoglobin, Blood Substitute, provides efficient delivery of atmospheric gases to the cells growing in our platform. It enables superior oxygen delivery and pH maintenance by mimicking the functions of hemoglobin which results in increased cell viability and function in vitro.
