Perfused Organ Panel
Our unique microphysiologial system, Perfused Organ Panel (POP), provides a platform for researchers that accelerates the development of pharmaceutical, cosmetic, chemical, and precision medicine products. This technology can be used during the preclinical stages of product development to quickly predict the effects a certain drug or chemical will have on the human body. Our POP platform is comprised of PerfusionPal integral insert system, the SeedEZ scaffolds, Blood Substitute that mimics the functions of hemoglobin in cell culture perfusion, and a pump set to deliver physiological, interstitital flow rates. In a human, over 98% of tissue demands for oxygen are delivered to cells by hemoglobin contained in red blood cells. By way of the Blood Substitute and the pump our POP microphysiological system provides, for the first time, in vivo-like oxygen delivery to tissues cultured in vitro.
