Wanrui Zhang, PhDResearch Scientist
Dr. Zhang has over a decade of research experience in diverse directions, working in both industrial and academic settings. Her research has been focused on drug and chemical metabolism in primary human hepatocytes, the intrinsic mechanisms of mitochondrial superoxide production and its regulation by external stimuli in cardiomyocytes, and the identification and characterization of hepatitis C virus-specific B cells. Dr. Zhang has an impressive publication record resulting from her research. She holds B.Sc. in Biology and Ph.D. in Mitochondrial Biology from Peking University, Beijing, China. Prior to joining Lena Biosciences, Dr. Zhang worked at the Yerkes National Primate Research Center at Emory University.
