The primary responsibility will be to conduct drug and chemical testing. The preferred candidate would have hands-on experience with 3D cell cultures and screening in a toxicology or pharmaceutical laboratory (discovery or investigative toxicology). Experience with complex in vitro models, cell culture perfusion such as organ on a chip modalities, gene editing, functional activity recordings (MEA) and computation/machine learning are advantages. Biochemistry background is a plus, but not required.

Qualifications:
• Hands-on experience with complex tissue models
• Experience with iPSC-derived and primary 3D cell cultures, or tissue slices
• Hands-on experience with screening (biochemical assaying and assay multiplexing)
• Ability to generate and analyze dose-response curves
• Experience with data analysis, visualization, and statistical computation (R or GraphPad Prism, Python)
• Ability to execute, troubleshoot and analyze experiments and to interpret results
• Cellular biology techniques (gene editing, immunostaining, high-content imaging, image analysis, western blot)
• Molecular biology skills (mammalian cell DNA/RNA extraction, PCR/RT-PCR/qPCR)
• Familiarity or experience with multielectrode array (MEA) recordings
• Familiarity or experience with machine learning
• Documentation of procedures and results in compliance with Electronic Lab Notebook guidelines
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent oral, written and presentation skills
• Willingness to travel and present at conferences
• MS or PhD in a relevant scientific discipline

Employment requirements:
• At least three references.
